We start the day with a trip to Catarina, a traditional Nicaraguan town with stunning views over Lake Apoyo (situated in a volcano crater) and the surrounding countryside.  The town is also famous for it´s vast array of ornamental plants and flowers.

Next we visit Masaya Volcano National Park, where you´ll be able to visit the impressive Santiago Crater - one of the few active volcanoes that can be observed up close.

Then, we visit Nicaragua`s most popular open-air handicraft market, located in Masaya, with a huge selection of traditionally crafted souvenirs.

Before heading back to beautiful San Juan del Sur, we make a stop in Granada - a colorful colonial city, founded in 1524 and full of history and culture.
